Leather
The leather on Silene is premium — selected for the way it holds its structure while developing character with daily use. It arrives firm and considered. With regular carry it softens at the points of contact — the flap, the strap, the edges — while holding the architectural form of the saddle silhouette beneath. It does not lose its shape. It becomes more itself.
The hand-burnished edges, sealed with beeswax, are a construction detail from a different era of making — one where the edges of a bag received the same attention as the face. On Silene, they do. Built for daily use across years, not seasons.

What's inside
Arranged for the way she actually uses a bag, not for display: a cotton twill lining, one internal zip pocket with a leather pull tab for the things that need securing, one slip pocket for the things she reaches for without looking, and a blind-debossed Alezane leather patch inside. Everything has a place. Nothing is there by accident.
Care
The leather will develop character with daily carry — softening at the points of contact while holding its structure across years of use. That is not wear. That is what good leather does.
Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Store in the dust bag when not in use. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Apply a quality leather conditioner sparingly if needed. The hand-burnished beeswax edges can be lightly re-waxed over time.
Natural variation in leather grain, tone and texture is not a flaw. It is evidence that your piece is real leather, individually selected, and yours alone.
