The leather on Clarette is premium calf with a semi-aniline finish — chosen for its smooth hand, its composed appearance, and the way it holds its form across years of elevated wear. It is not a coated surface. It responds to wear, relaxing subtly over time and developing a soft suppleness and a quiet patina that deepens rather than dulls the Merlot colourway.
The construction beneath it is structured — reinforced to hold the silhouette cleanly across years of use. Clarette does not lose its form or soften into something casual. It simply becomes more refined with time. Hand-painted edges, colour-matched to the leather. Tone-on-tone stitching throughout.

Arranged for elevated daily use, organised without excess: soft micro-suede lining, one central zip compartment as the primary carry zone, one internal zip pocket with leather trim for the things that need securing separately, and dual slip pockets for the things she reaches for without looking. A blind-debossed Alezane wordmark inside — interior branding that belongs to the person carrying it.
Care
The semi-aniline finish will develop a subtle suppleness with regular use — relaxing gently while maintaining the composed, polished appearance of the Merlot colourway. The colour deepens rather than fades with careful use.
Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight, heat and moisture — particularly important for the Merlot colourway. Store in the dust bag when not in use. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Apply a quality leather conditioner sparingly if needed. Avoid contact with water, oils or dyes that may transfer to the leather surface.
Natural variation in the leather grain and tone is not a flaw. It is evidence that your piece is real leather, individually selected, and yours alone.
